Having completed her second series of sea trials, Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Symphony of the Seas, looks set to join the family-friendly fleet. The second of these trials took place from 3rd-4th March, which saw the ship float out before returning to the STX France shipyard in St. Nazaire with no problems to note. This comes ahead of her planned launch on the 23rd March, during which time she will be positioned in the Mediterranean and operate sailings out of Barcelona.
The fourth addition to the Oasis-class fleet will also become the largest cruise ship in the world, weighing in at 228,081 GT and offering a maximum capacity for 6,680 passengers. Royal Caribbean has become renowned for offering innovative new features, dazzling amenities, exhilarating thrills and vibrant dining venues – all of which ensures passengers want to come back for more year after year.
Symphony of the Seas will be no exception with features including the Ultimate Abyss slide making a return, twisting water slides, towering climbing walls, surfing simulators, laser tag, mini golf, ice rinks and much more. There will be a number of amazing theatrical performances to look forward to as well, the most anticipated of these being Hairspray – one of the most colourful Broadway hits of the century.
The emphasis is placed upon family cruising, with plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy independently and together. This even extends to the accommodation options available onboard, with the two-tiered Ultimate Family Suite, which features a colourful slide, gaming tables, a creative Lego wall and a large LCD television screen.
Kids can be among the fussiest of eaters, but there shouldn’t be any problem with the culinary offering available aboard Symphony of the Seas. From succulent steaks in Chop’s Grille to fresh sushi in Izumi, there are plenty of choices to choose between. There is also Jamie’s Italian, where passengers can enjoy authentic Italian dishes including rustic pizzas and pasta made freshly onboard. In addition to these, there are casual options available including juicy burgers and thick milkshakes in Johnny Rockets, and freshly made pizza in Sorrento’s. If that wasn’t enough, there’s also Wonderland, where chefs put together a range of puzzling and creative dishes that will blow your mind.
It’s incredible to think all of this and much more can be crammed into a cruise ship, but the innovators that are Royal Caribbean are clearly the experts when it comes to family holidays. This really is going to be the place to be during the spring and summer seasons of 2018 and with the ship being positioned so close to home, there might be a better opportunity for your customers to experience this incredible ship.
